If I knew how to, I would find and post the video footage of George Bush debating Al Gore during the 2000 election campaign in which he promises his vice presidential nominee will be a "straight shooter with the American people". That's how I like my irony, friends.

I dont know if anyone can help me out with the history of it here, but how fucking cool is albert hammond jnr's guitar, he's been using it for ages, as far back as the 'someday' film clip, if I'm not mistaken. I dont really know exotic electric guitars but his white one sure looks the shit!
In conclusion: 'Cheney's got a gun'
It's your old standard jimmy hendrix-lovin fender stratocaster in white...stairway to heaven denied, he does this every friday. The one Valensi plays is an epiphone that is the 'Nick Valensi Guitar' official signature series type of thing...
